CMN Advisory Board Project - NillyNoggin EEG Caps

Donate To This Campaign

NillyNoggin caps are specially made and given to children undergoing an EEG, which is a recording of brain activity – used to detect seizure disorders like epilepsy. During this painless test, small sensors are attached to the scalp to pick up the electrical signals produced by the brain. These signals are recorded by a machine and are looked at by a doctor. However, kids tend to pull these wires off their heads during the procedure. NillyNoggin Caps help prevent that from happening, and are also made in fun colors and patterns to make the process less scary for kids.

We learned that our Neurology department goes through 200-250 caps per year and they are almost completely out. Each cap costs roughly $50. With that, we invite our CMN Advisory Board to help us purchase as many NillyNoggin Caps as possible.
