Elyse has a rare genetic disease that causes muscular differences. After dislocating her hip, she went through muscle-lengthening surgery at Penn State Health Children's Hospital, which required a hip cast. Through the Children's Miracle Network Patient Assistance Endowment, Elyse's family received a comfortable pediatric adaptive car seat, designed to alleviate pressure on the hips and promote healing.
